We've been busy the past couple months, er I've been busy i should say. Testing and tuning some of the ideas i have had to get some innovation out into the community.
NFC Range Extenders!
![SMA version of the NFC Range Extender with 15cm IPEX (U.fl) cable](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/7d5ba2_2754959217f04f89a0f34a19a828f831~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_147,h_111,al_c,q_80,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,blur_2,enc_auto/7d5ba2_2754959217f04f89a0f34a19a828f831~mv2.jpg)
These have been something i have been working on for the past 2 months and have underwent a few different changes and tuning operations before i decided to release them out to the community. A few of you have received these as test units to gather feedback and we are finally ready to release a working functional version.
They will come in 4 versions.
Standard - This will use a JST ph2.0 connection (2 wire) and is offered in 60mm (2.5in) (Pictured Below)
PRO - This will use a IPEX1 (U.FL) connector (Pictured above)
PROSma - This will be a limited run (under 50 units) and will feature an SMA connection. This particular unit underperforms to my expectations and as a result i will not carry it as a regularly stocked item unless specifically requested or bulk quantities are interested. SmallPro - This unit is not yet released but will be more implant focused and offered in 27mm and use an IPEX1 (U.FL) connector. This version will be more implant focused and could easily read from a subdermal implant in xSeries form.
The SmallPro and Pro can be interchangably used meaning you can use a large with the small and still get perfect range. The Large format isnt ideal for implants however can be paired up with a Repeater Sticker placed in the center of the extender and it will allow for reads on xSeries implants.

DIY Field Generators
These use the exact same circuit as my Field Generators but in a more maker friendly design. You supply the power and an antenna and it will just chug along. These have been tested to work optimally at 9v. However components will fry if pushed beyond 12v.
Measure in at 34mm x 14mm x 1.6mm (with components 4.2mm)

To make things easier for the maker community i will also offer USB-C pigtails and my 27mm Antenna's as options to include with these DIY Units. The USB-C pigtails are panel mount so you can create a case around the device. The Antenna is a 27mm circualar antenna that will resonate at 13.56mhz when paired with a 100pf capacitor.

Both of my new products will be available starting the first week of Feburary. I am currently awaiting additional stock of the Pro Extenders and have limited supply but that should be available by Feburary 10th to ship out. If these get sold out before then ill allow for backorders to be placed and they will go out the day i receive the shipment.
I also have some other exciting new projects i will be working on. I will try to update this blog with them as i make way through the prototyping phase. Thankyou all for a great 2024 and i look forward to the new year!
